Richard B. Cheney, an accomplished businessman and public servant is the vice president. Cheney is a recognizable person in Washington throughout his time. George W. Bush was the president of the 4th generation to which he was a part of. Bush chose Cheney as his vice president in July of 2000. Bush cited his experience and knowledge. Dick Cheney, who served the United States as secretary and chief of staff during the presidency and also within Congress was a stellar service to the nation. Republicans as well as Democrats alike respect his honesty. Cheney says he is a discreet but honest advisor for Bush within his administration. Cheney declared his delight at being nominated for the Republican vice-presidential nomination. Cheney said the future is bright for him working with a person who is able to collaborate with those who have different political views and with common goals. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed to Richard Herbert Cheney for over thirty years. After 13 years of age, old, he relocated together with family members to Casper within the Western part of Wyoming in Wyoming, where his father was the director of the local district of soil conservation to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
