Katherine Heigl speaks with everyone regarding her "white bubble childhood" and how it's influenced how she raises her adopted multiracial children. In an interview with the "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her body didn't matter to her. But after having a conversation with her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society was treating them, she became aware of the stark differences the two were. "I inquired of my sister, Meg whether she'd received the same treatment while going out with us parents and a different way in the time she was alone without them. Meg replied, "Oh, yeah, all the times! It made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to Parents. Her anger grew by the incident, and decided to make use of her anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four-year old son who is married to her 13 year old wife, Josh Kelley. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, and then Adalaide aged 8 who is now young and Black in 2012.
