Katherine Heigl reveals that she was brought up in a bubble of white and how that influenced how she raised adopted multiracial children. In an interview, she spoke about the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy", actress revealed her body didn't matter to her. However, when talking to her adoptive sister from South Korea about how society treated them, she became aware of how much different they were. "I wanted to know Meg whether she felt treated differently when she went out with our parents and those who went out alone. Meg replied "Oh Yes! All the all the time!" Heigl told Parents, "That made me realise that I was so naive." She admitted to becoming frustrated, but decided to channel her anger in order to assist her adopted daughters. Heigl, who has been engaged to Josh Kelley for 13 years they have a son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. Their daughter was adopted by them Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old, who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
