Julia Fiona Roberts born to Betty Lou Bredemus (mother) and Walter Grady Roberts on October 28th the 28th of October, 1967. Her family is the fourth Roberts family who lived in Atlanta. It began with her great grandfather John Pendleton Roberts who was farmer. Her father took an early interest in the theatre. When he was a college student studying at Emory University from 1952 to 1954, he was a part of several performances. In 1953, he joined the Air Force. While stationed at Biloxi in Mississippi acted in a show together with Betty Lou Bredemus. The couple got married in 2005 and had their first child, Eric Anthony in 1956. Walter along with his wife left the Air Force in and enrolled Walter in Tulane University. Walter was hired to work for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio to work on the set of Bum Bum and His Buddies, which aired in Decatur Georgia. Walter along with Betty Lou started production in 1964 for the local children's Saturday morning TV show Bum Bum and His Buddies that they self-funded. The Actors and Writers Workshop was created in the year 1964 and ran for six years. In 1965, they welcomed two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
