Katherine Heigl is open about being raised in "a White bubble." She also explains how this experience has affected the way she raises adopted children who are multi-racial. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to a reporter that it did not matter how dark her skin color was to her. However, after meeting her Korean-American adopted sister, she realised the distinction in how people took care of her. Meg was asked whether her treatment was different while they were together with their parents and then the time they were on their own. Meg replied "Oh Yes, all the occasion!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had caused me to feel." Heigl said she got frustrated and thought it was important to focus the anger she felt on her adopted daughters. Heigl along with her long-time husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have an infant son, aged 4 years old.
