Katherine Heigl has opened her mind about being born into a "white bubble" and how that revelation has affected the way she raises her adoptive multiracial children. The actress from "Firefly Lane", revealed to a reporter that it didn't matter what color her skin was to her. After meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she realised the distinction in how people took care of her. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being treated differently when she went out with our parents and the times she was out on her own. She replied "Oh, yes, every moment!" Heigl said to her parents: "That was when I was aware of how foolish I had resulted in me feeling." According to the actress, she became furious. But, she was determined to channel her anger into aiding her adopted daughters. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old husband, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
